Pirates make money off of their copies in bulk. In this case he is offering a friendly service to individuals who are interested in the music. He has technicvally made a copy for himself from the original (like we all do when we tape stuff) and is now offering it on a very small scale to anyone who does not have the pleasure of owning the album. In my books, that is not illegal or bootlegging, but just plain nice! You guys might want to check out what bootlegging actually is before you say something that might be construed as rude.
