I went to a New Order concert for the Republic Tour back in the summer of '92 or '93. On the bill it only stated that Sunscream were the opening act.

It's funny, I remember thinking, "Why wouldn't 808 open for their fellow MCRs?"

The venue was at a theme park in Toronto, Canada. It wuz called Kingswood Theatre.

I went to the show. Sunscream did a fairly good set. Then as I expected New Order to come out on stage, the tech crew started placing these metal Eights and a Metal Zereo in the very front of the stage. My heart almost stopped from the thrill of realizing that 808 are fu*king here!!!

Then Daz came out whistling and sreaming for all of us to get ready for the BOMB!!! He was totally mad. Then Graham Massey and Pandy stepped out on stage and the Moogy "Timbomb" intro just blew the unprepared crowd away in a cheer!

Not a lot of people really knew who 808 state was at the time. Universally, they couldn't help but move something in the thrill of the moment. It was a real personal moment for me. Out of all my friends I was the only REAL 808 state fan in that group. The music and the engery was unbelievable.

I know that when I pass on in this life time, I hope I have that feeling in my soul that I had during that moment in time. I'll never forget it as long as I live.

Christ, they even blew New Order away! Bernard even forgot the lyrics to Blue Monday coz he wuz so pumped up on something.

Best track that night, "Plan 9". The guitars on fire mix. Holy smokes man.
