I agree. I still use simpler technology and software. For sequencing I use Cakewalk Express and I have to say, I don't care about any fancy gadgetry that more expensive programs have. It's like saying give an athlete a pair of more expensive sneakers and he'll run faster. It's not true. The inspiration and ideas are what make the tunes. And don't get me wrong, I love the 303 and 808 and what they've done to electronic music but they aren't the only drum machines. I use a Yamaha RY10 (as heard on the TV program Homeez) which is sufficient enough for what I do. The only thing I wonder about is where technology is going to take us next. Oh, Bomb The Bass are cool - I love Leslie Crowther in Dune Buggy Attack!!
