To anyone who's interested in trivial and pointless information, there's a picture of Graham in cod-rock-star pose with his MOOG Liberation in this month's Sound on Sound. Its on page 166 under an item called 'Using Midi Gear Live'. Obviously they had to use the Master to illustrate this, although there's no credit or mention of 808 in the actual article...shame.
Also on the topic of inane shite, I was watching E4 last night, waiting shamefully for Big Brother 'Live'; 'The Best of the Word' was on and I was treated to two little gems - first of all a recap of loads of Happy Mondays footage (including a quality moment when Ryder was dancing with Zippy from Rainbow)....and then the Piece de'Resistance - 808 State performing 'Olympic' in the studio!*@;:?% Martin Price was centre stage adjusting his shades, Graham was pounding a Jupiter 8 with his headphones on, and Darren was scratching the 'we're here' sample from the start of Lambrusco Cowboy...cool as fuck. The crowd's dancing was pretty amusing aswell - loads of B-boy electro moves goin on.
If anyone's sad enough to read this far, what's going on with Martin Price these days? Is Graham still in contact with him? How much input did he really have in the band? (other than motormouth)
